Feed the homeless

I walked out of a Rite Aid after forcing myself to pull off at this store around 9:30 in the evening to pick up laundry soap for washing my jerk clothes. They are so needy sometimes. I stand in line, impatient with the clerk who seems to be taking forever (laundry makes me impatient I suppose). I walk out of the door to jump into my jeep, and here is this homeless man wearing a monkey hat asking if I had any extra money for him I could spare. I immediately wished I had something for him, but I only had credit....He nodded his head, even grateful that I acknowledged that he was a living, breathing being. At this point I was thinking damn it I wish I had something to give this adorable little monkey wearing hat guy. I then realized I had some quarters in my car for my laundry money, so I go and grab them and his eyes just lit up with happiness. It was so super cute, so then I looked around and found the nearest fast food place I could spot, so I asked him if he wanted a burger. Just as he was with the quarters, he got so happy. I waited in line for a good 10 minutes, and when he finally got the food he was so grateful, it made my whole night. If you just make a goal to do even just one random act of kindness for a stranger think of all the vibes we could be spreading....It doesn't take much effort, and you will usually feel better than the person you are even helping out <3

  1. very good thing to do, Cay, Bible people say you make a place in heaven with such actions. What if heaven was a peace of mind, knowing you did your best? I think it is:)!!!!!!!!
